FAQ

You’ll find answers to many common questions right here.  If you have a question that is not answered here, please contact us. These procedures applies only for 3D rendering production.

Q. I am a new client, and I need some renderings. What do I need to do first?

  • You can contact us and we'll provide you with an estimate. Provide us with a P.O. number when sending your CAD file.

Q. What do I need to send you?

  • CAD files

Note: Make sure that files are purged and remove any unwanted blocks. To transmit an error-free file, ZIP your CAD files, or use etransmit command in AutoCAD.

Note: This file is very important as it provide us with all the necessary colors and finishes.

Note: Provide us with either the RGB# of the color, a picture, a scan with scale, or a link to the color or finishes as a reference.
This will ensure that the final rendering is accurate.

Q. If my files are big, how do I transfer them to RTDesign?

  • We suggest using a free file delivery services, such as yousendit.com. (Free of use for the first 100 meg file transfert)
  • We can also set up a secure FTP site on our servers for returning clients for faster and easier file transfers.

Q. Once I send the file, what should I do?

  • We recommend contacting us at 514-756-3232 to confirm receipt of your document.  We’ll go over the project on the phone to make sure we’ve got everything we need to start the project.

Q. When can I expect my renderings?

  • Once we have your CAD files and finishes, you'll receive an email from us within 24 hours with a draft version of your rendering.

Q. We have reviewed the Draft renderings and we need to make some corrections.

  • Send us your comments along with a redlined document, and we'll have the final results within the next day.

Q. We like the final renderings, what's next?

  • You were provided with a special link. This link shows you thumbnails of your files and by clicking on each image you can preview a bigger version. You can also download all the images at once by clicking the Zip icon.

Q. What is your payment terms?

  • Full payment within 30 days from the invoice date.
  • In Canada and the US, company checks are accepted.
  • International and first time clients are required to deposit 50% of the estimate in advance via PayPal. Contact us for more info on PayPal payments.
  • Most of our projects consist of multiple phases. We request that the client advise us by email as each phase is approved and considered complete.
  • If a project is not active for 10 working days, we will issue an invoice and any modifications afterwards will be reflected on the next invoice.
